To further ensure smooth running of its affairs and to contribute to the growth and development of their alma mater, the Ibadan branch of the Adekunle Ajasin University’s Alumni Association (AAUAS) has inaugurated a new set of officials to oversee the association. The ceremony, which was witnessed by about 40 members, took place at the Student Union Building, University of Ibadan, Oyo State.

The new officers are; Oyekunle Adetoba (Chairman), Yetunde Ijitola (Vice Chairman), Omobayode Okelola (Secretary), Mercy Dada (Treasurer), Seun Ajagun (Financial Secretary) and Kehinde Adebayo (Events and Publicity Officer).

In his address, AAUAS National President, Mr. Patrick Oluyide, said the birth of the branch was in tandem with the association’s Constitution, which allows institution of chapters in towns and cities across the globe without compromising the conditions for branch formation.

Presenting the charter of the association to the branch, Oluyide urged the new executive members to pilot the affairs of the association in line with the constitution, pointing out that he was enthused by the zeal of members and the manner in which they have been coordinating themselves, advising them not to rest on their oars in terms of membership drive.

In his remarks, the new Chairman, Mr. Oyekunle Adetoba, said: “We want to assure you that we shall leave no stone unturned in ensuring that this branch continues to grow in strength and number.” Ibadan Branch is an addition to existing Akungba, Owo, Akure, Lagos and Abuja Branches.
