Nigerian Breweries Plc, through its Star brand, has unveiled its unprecedented partnership agreement as the Official Beer Partner to key football organisations, which include the Nigerian Professional Football League and five European clubs of Arsenal, Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus, and Manchester City.
The big announcement, which was held on Wednesday, at the Eko Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, was witnessed by influential sports, media and entertainment industry figures, who saw the official signing ceremony. Notable football officials such as Chairman, League Management Company, Shehu Dikko, First Vice President NFF, Seyi Akinwunmi, Football legends Kanu Nwankwo, Jay-Jay Okocha as well as Barrister Isaac Danladi, and Hon. Nduka Irabor were in attendance.
Also present were officials from Nigerian Breweries Plc., Nicolaas Vervelde, Managing Director, Nigerian Breweries Plc., Franco Maria Maggi, Marketing Director, Nigerian Breweries Plc., Tokunbo Adodo, Portfolio Manager, National Premium, Nigerian Breweries Plc., and Kufere Ekanem, Corporate Affairs Adviser, Nigerian Breweries Plc., including representatives of the five European football clubs, Luiz Gomez Para (Real Madrid); Wasel Sabastien (Paris Saint-Germain); Gordon Tannock, (Arsenal); Nick Pinder (Manchester City) and Ravannelli Fabrizo (Juventus).
The partnership is another demonstration of Star’s commitment to its consumers, with the biggest passion for football. Star will facilitate accelerated opportunities for deeper engagement among millions of fans of these clubs, the brand and partner football organisations.
Hosted by comedian Gbenga Adeyinka, the evening was spiced with performances from Dbanj, Darey and Kaffy, who thrilled guests with best of their recordings. Other guests at the event include Uti Nwachukwu, Ehiz, Lafup, Faithia Balogun- Williams, Stephanie Coker, Destiny Amaka, Hype-man Jimmy, DJ Neptune, Mozez Praiz, Olisa Adibua, Sound Sultan, Patrick Doyle, Remi Oshodi and others.
