Deshinor
Budding record label, Matt Westside Records, has officially announced its signing of young male vocalist/songwriter, Deshinor, as a new addition to the record label. He joins Henry Knight, who was previously announced in August at a boat cruise.
According to the CEO label, Matthew Fab Ebhodaghe, the announcement of Deshinor saw the release of his first single titled ‘New Wave’. The mid tempo produced by Kriz Beatz is expected to become an anthem on radio, clubs and on the street due to its street appeal and theme.
“All we intend to do is invest hugely on talented artistes; we have a long way to go and we are just starting. I want to believe we have done a great job scouting for these acts and we are more than confident with Deshinor,” Ebhodaghe said.
Born Adeshina Joshua Aromolaran, 20-year-old final year student of Mass Communication at the University of Lagos, whose style of music can be describe as a fusion of Afro-pop, Highlife and Afro-soul, says Ebenezer Obey, King Sunny Ade and Asa influences him.
“I am an ardent listener of music, and I have experimented with a lot of sounds before getting signed to Matt Westside, but as cliché as this sounds, I am in music to tell a story with my music, and make an impact,” he said.
