Babcock University, Ilishan-Remo, Ogun State has admitted a total of 2,423 students for its undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, for 2017/2018 academic session. While 2,023 were admitted for the various undergraduate’s programmes, 400 were admitted for post graduates programmes.
Speaking at the ceremony held at the school stadium, last Thursday, the VC, Prof. Ademola Tayo, advised matriculants to be focused, discipline, hard working and recognise God, as they embark on the journey, stressing without God there will be no meaningful success.
“In a world with unpredictable diverse social, economic, political, cultural and religious changes, you need the right capacities to meaningfully respond to these diversity and save mankind from undeserved pains and destructions.
“Babcock University is founded on the enduring values of excellence, integrity, accountability, servant leadership and team spirit, all based on out Adventist heritage. These values engrain in people the spirit of dynamism that propels them to a sense of responsibility to God and man.”
The don said the institution is now classified in the comity of global brands, noting that for two years consecutively, the World Global Brand Organisation based in London adjudged the school the most visible and acceptable brand in the country.
“We have consistently ranked in the country among the best three of the 45 law offering universities. Last year we were the best in the country going by the Bar examination results. This year, the verdict is the same. Two of our students emerged in the First Class category in the Nigeria Law School. It is not only in Law or in branding that we have become a light and a formidable powerhouse in the country.”
